I love the quiet before the storm !
I can't contain my energy...but I become very calm and take it all in! It is here on the start line before the race even begins that I feel truly blessed to be a competitive athlete!
Jacqui!! You are a HERO for finishing that race in that rain - it looks like you are running in a lake in one of those pix! And you do look so fit and so strong in those pix!!

Looks like you were running in "Lake Placid" as well as swimming in that first picture..
